The Goals of Education
The education at Secondary school of Vavrinec Benedikt Nedožerský in Prievidza focuses on the acquisition of general education and knowledge necessary not only for students' further education but also for their lives.
The mission of our school is to provide our students with cognitive skills and an ability to process information in order to fully develop their potential. To achieve this we implement the latest educational and organizational forms, strategies and methods that support student's inquisitiveness, creative thinking and confidence. The graduates have an opportunity to continue their further education at universities or enter the labour market directly.
Our school enables students to obtain the required general knowledge and skills in school subjects and gives them an opportunity to develop their own capabilities and experience success. Therefore our school is bound to form conditions for education of students with special educational requirements and provide them with a an equal approach during the entire course of education. The whole educational process prepares the students for their lives. This requires not only students' ability to think critically and creatively and to handle problems promptly and effectively but it also requires broadening their horizons and developing their team-work skills and self-motivation.
